Guest At Your Table

At a church service, usually before Thanksgiving, small collection boxes will be handed out and stories of courageous individuals will be shared as we join others promoting human rights around the world. These little boxes for your dining room table, symbolizing an unseen guest, are to collect small donations at each meal, which will contribute to the work of the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee.

• Disaster relief work (e.g., Haiti and Katrina)
• Defending civil liberties and access to democratic processes through programs such as “STOP” torture
• Advancing economic justice through programs like Fair Trade
